SVOSH @ SCCO is a student organization dedicated to leading current optometry students into vision related volunteer opportunities at home and all over the world.

As students, we have a unique opportunity to translate what we are learning into practice; use this opportunity to help our neighborhoods, our communities, our country, and our world! By joining SVOSH, the student is taking their first step to becoming a more informed O.D., a more active O.D., and a community leader.

VOSH International

SVOSH is specifically for optometry students. Our parent organization is VOSH International, lead by Dr. Greg Pearl, a local OD here in Los Angeles. This is the organization that coordinates most of our volunteer missions. Check out their website to see a full list of ways that optometrists all over the country are getting involved. Remember, volunteering doesn't end with graduation! Once you receive the Doctor of Optometry degree, don't forget to become an official VOSH member and to stay connected with other VOSH doctors.

VOSH California

VOSH California is the state's chapter of VOSH International. Keep in touch with these organizations throughout your optometry career! Contact your local VOSH California Doctors to see how they are improving vision services in our California communities.
